On Saturday, October 1st, Chicago Loop Alliance and Active Transportation Alliance present Open Streets on State Street, an unprecedented event that promotes community culture and allows everyone to experience Chicago’s historic street in a new and exciting way.
As the culminating celebration of artist Kay Rosen’s summer art installation – GO DO GOOD – Open Streets on State Street is the ultimate ‘good’ event, featuring a host of activities including a modular skate park, “imagination” playground and breakdancing demonstrations. Plus, several Loop businesses are teaming up to offer special discounts for one day only at area restaurants, retail destinations and cultural institutions.
